You're likely here because you saw our scanner in your server logs and looked up the address in its user agent. Good — that's exactly why the address is there. Here's what our scanner is, how it behaves, and how to reach us or opt out.

What it's doing
UpliftAccreditedScanner assesses the accessibility of publicly available web pages against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. It loads a representative sample of pages, checks them with the open-source axe-core testing engine, and validates linked PDF documents against PDF/UA-1. It reads and analyzes public content only — the same content any visitor can see. It does not attempt to log in, submit forms, or access anything behind authentication.
We run these assessments as part of our accessibility program. If your organization received a findings report from us, this is the tool that produced the evidence in it.
How it behaves
We hold our own crawler to the standards we'd want any crawler to follow:
- Honest identification. It always sends the user agent above, with a link back to this page. We never disguise our traffic.
- Respects robots.txt. It obeys your site's robots directives. If you disallow it, it stays out.
- Gentle pace. It throttles requests — a short delay between page loads on a given site — so it doesn't strain your server, and backs off on errors.
- Read-only. It only reads public pages. It never writes, submits, purchases, or changes anything.
Opt out, or get in touch
If you'd prefer we not assess your site, you can block the scanner in your robots.txt by disallowing the UpliftAccreditedScanner user agent — it will honor that on its next visit. You can also email us and we'll add your domain to our exclusion list directly.
